What is
the strongest area (concerning technical execution) of the piece of work you
made? Why?
The strongest area of my art is the upper right part.
The way I blended the pictures together looks amazing. When you look at it, you
can see that that around my tattoo hand you can see how the two colors split in
the middle. I think that specific around looks really good. Makes me think I
did a good job. Everything around that upper part looks nice. I used blend
modes correctly and also use the eraser correctly to get rid of the edges of my
pictures.
What area of your work
can be improved on? How?
There’s a couple of areas
that I would fix if I was to do this project again. Now that I have an idea of
what we are doing I would definitely use the rule of thirds better, move my
pictures around play with
What was easy about this
art activity? Explain.
Using
the filters to change the color of the pictures and the shapes was really easy.
Using the blend mode made my project easy and fun. When I was working, I found it
very easy to blend my pictures together. It was pretty fun. Usually when
something is fun and I like doing it I am always more engaged on it.
What was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
In the
beginning I was annoyed because when I tried to use the Magic Wand Tool and it
would erase parts of the pictures that I didn’t want to cut off. Another
difficult part was the rule of thirds, you wanted us to flip pictures around,
fix them and make things not aligned but the way I was doing it wasn’t coming
out right.
What mediums (materials) did you use? What tools in
Photoshop/Illustrator did you use? How
did you use them? Be specific.
I used the Move tool to move my pictures
around. I used the quick selection tool and the magic wand tool to get rid of
the white parts off my pictures. A lot of times I used the eraser tool to get
rid of the edges and make the pictures look nice next to each other. Even though
this is not a type of material, I used the filters to change how my picture
looked. I also used the blend modes to make sure that the pictures blend in right
so they could come out beautiful.
How did you demonstrate the objective (the goal) in
this art activity?
I demonstrated
the objective by using the filters, blend modes and selection tools to create
my art piece. I used the filters to put textures. When I used the filters, I used
it to change some pictures so they can look like paintings, sketches and many
more. I used the blend mode to blend all of my pictures together so it could
look nice and well blended. There were different types of effects when I used
the blend modes, depending on which one I used the pictures blended in different.
Around the upper part of my work I blend in pictures to make sure the colors
change.
7. If you could do
this art activity again, what would you do differently?
If I could do this activity again I would pick a different
background. I would pick better pictures that would show a better understanding
of my personality. I would use better filters and blend my pictures in to make
it incredible. I would definitely put more time and effort to make it way nicer
to show you that I learned how to use the materials correctly.

1.
What
is the strongest area (concerning technical execution) of the piece of work you
made? Why?
The strongest
area about my work is the technical execution. The way I put my work together
without it showing that its photoshopped, I think it looks really nice, I tried
my hardest to make everything look nice and real.
2.
What
area of your work can be improved on? How?
The area of my body can be improved,
I don’t really like the positions and the poses that I did. I think that if I go
back to the project and fix some things I would pay more attention and arrange
the photos better. I can improve my work by making it more alive. I think that
my work looks boring and plain that is something I can work on and change.
3.
What
was easy about this art activity? Explain.
Using the
Marquee tools was easy. I knew what I had to do when it came to using the Marquee
tools and the paint brush to color the pictures in. changing the opacity to put
the pictures together was easy too.
4.
What
was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
In the beginning
this was very frustrating. I wasn’t sure on how to add other pictures in. Blending
the pictures in without making it look weird and fake was kind of hard. For example,
I had to keep changing the paint brush color from white to black in order to
add color or take out color. When I used white to add the picture in I had to be
careful not to deleted parts off the other pictures, if I deleted some parts off the other picture I had to use
black brush to add it back and sometimes I would mess up and it would be hard to do it good. I was
confused with the layers, I wasn’t sure which one was
which.
5.
What
mediums (materials) did you use? What tools in Photoshop/Illustrator did you use?
How did you use them? Be specific.
I
used a lot of tools, I used the paint brush to paint my picture in. I used the
rectangular marquee tool to select my pictures. I used the quick section tool
to paint whatever I wanted and needed to paint.

I used the layer
mask on the picture so I could paint and see through the pictures.
6.
How
did you demonstrate the objective (the goal) in this art activity?
I demonstrated
the objective by having five pictures like you asked to. I took thirty pictures
and selected five of the best ones, I used the correct dimensions. I tried my
best to do everything that you asked me to do.
I played with my picture and had a lot of fun. Reason why I had fun it’s
because at first I was struggling but then when I had the hold of it, I had
fun.
7.
If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?
If I could
do this again I would take better pictures. I would be in a beautiful place
with a nice background. I would definitely do different poses to make my
picture look more creative. If I was to do something like this I would make a project
of my family. The pictures would look way better because now I would know what I’m
doing.

Artist Reflection
Answer the reflection
questions after every project to get FULL credit. Remember to use correct
vocabulary to answer for each assignment.
Write a 3 paragraph
artist statement answering the following questions:
The
strongest area of my work is the letter form. My strongest area is my
creativeness. I believe that that’s my strongest area because of the shapes of
the O’s and how I made some of them really big and some were smaller.
The
background of my work can be improved. I should have picked a better “Graphic Art” for my background, I
could have also chosen a picture or something more unique.
The easy part about this activity is the
composition... I think it was really easy because I wasn’t confused about
nothing. I made my work nice and easy.
At first using the rules of thirds was difficult
because I didn’t know what I was doing. After I started learning how to use the
tools I became more comfortable
I
used the move tool to move my O’s around. I used the blur tool to make some of
my letter blurry. I used the Horizontal type tool (T) to put my letter in my
project.
I
demonstrated the objective by showing Ms.Cablral that I understand how to play
with Photoshop. I used contrast to make some of my O’s big and some smaller,
some of them had different texture and I also used the 3D to prove her that I
learned how to use the Photoshop app. If I could do this art activity I would
pick a different letter, different shape and textures and I would also pick a
different background. I would pick a background that is more outstanding.
