Painting

  1. The strongest area of my art is the way that I blended everything together. I am amazed with his forehead . The way that it looks makes me want to do more paintings. I used blend modes the way I was supposed to and I think it looks good.
  2. One thing that I would change would be his lips. I would draw in his lips bigger and paint it nicer.
  3. 3. Using the eyedropper was very easy and fun. Using the blending it together was also easy.
    4. One thing that was difficult was switching from “ draw” to “paint”, at times I would forget that I had to switch and that made me mess up a couple of times. The eyebrows was the most difficult part about my project.
5.  I used the Blending Tool to blend the colors together. I used the eyedropper to such so I had the right color to paint. I used the paintbrush to make sure I completed the painting goal.
    6.  I demonstrated the objective by using  blend modes and paintbrush, eyedropper and other tools  to create my art piece. I demonstrated the goal by making my painting look like a really nice painting of my little brother. I used the blend mode to blend so it would look nice.
7. If I could do this activity again I would pick a picture of my whole family to do it and make it look cool. I would put way more time and effort into it since I know how to do it now.

Helena Soares
Tattoo

  1. The strongest area of my art is the way I expanded the tattoo on my arm to make it look like it's real. The way that it looks makes me want to get a rose tattooed on my arm just the way that it is. I used blend modes the way I was supposed to and I think it looks good.
    2. I honestly wouldn't change anything if I had to do this project. I think that I did everything the way I was supposed to. Only thing I would probably change would be to pick a better drawing that would catch people’s attention more.
3. Playing around with the tattoo to find the right position was really easy. Using the blend mode made my project easy and fun. I didn’t find anything hard about this project. It was nice and easy..
    4. One thing that was difficult was the fact that I was getting  annoyed because I didn’t know what did I wanted to draw. The  drawing was the most difficult part about my project. Another difficult part was the rule of thirds as always, I wanted my tattoo straight so it was coming out weird but then with your help I used the rule of thirds and it came out better.
     5.  I used the Move tool to move my tattoo around. I used the quick selection tool and the magic wand tool to get rid of the white parts off my pictures. I also used the rule of thirds to make sure I complete the goal.
    6.  I demonstrated the objective by using the filters, blend modes and selection tools to create my art piece. I demonstrated the goal by making my tattoo look like it's real on my arm. I used the blend mode to blend the tattoo on my arm. there wasn’t much to do so I can kept it simple and tried to meet my goal.
7. If I could do this activity again I would pick a different drawing as my tattoo. I would pick a better drawing that would look unique and that would give people of a “wow “ reaction.

What is the strongest area (concerning technical execution) of the piece of work you made?  Why?
The strongest area of my art is the upper right part. The way I blended the pictures together looks amazing. When you look at it, you can see that that around my tattoo hand you can see how the two colors split in the middle. I think that specific around looks really good. Makes me think I did a good job. Everything around that upper part looks nice. I used blend modes correctly and also use the eraser correctly to get rid of the edges of my pictures.
What area of your work can be improved on? How?
There’s a couple of areas that I would fix if I was to do this project again. Now that I have an idea of what we are doing I would definitely use the rule of thirds better, move my pictures around play with
What was easy about this art activity? Explain.
Using the filters to change the color of the pictures and the shapes was really easy. Using the blend mode made my project easy and fun. When I was working, I found it very easy to blend my pictures together. It was pretty fun. Usually when something is fun and I like doing it I am always more engaged on it.
What was difficult about this art activity? Explain.
In the beginning I was annoyed because when I tried to use the Magic Wand Tool and it would erase parts of the pictures that I didn’t want to cut off. Another difficult part was the rule of thirds, you wanted us to flip pictures around, fix them and make things not aligned but the way I was doing it wasn’t coming out right.
What mediums (materials) did you use? What tools in Photoshop/Illustrator did you use? How did you use them? Be specific.
I used the Move tool to move my pictures around. I used the quick selection tool and the magic wand tool to get rid of the white parts off my pictures. A lot of times I used the eraser tool to get rid of the edges and make the pictures look nice next to each other. Even though this is not a type of material, I used the filters to change how my picture looked. I also used the blend modes to make sure that the pictures blend in right so they could come out beautiful.
How did you demonstrate the objective (the goal) in this art activity?
I demonstrated the objective by using the filters, blend modes and selection tools to create my art piece. I used the filters to put textures. When I used the filters, I used it to change some pictures so they can look like paintings, sketches and many more. I used the blend mode to blend all of my pictures together so it could look nice and well blended. There were different types of effects when I used the blend modes, depending on which one I used the pictures blended in different. Around the upper part of my work I blend in pictures to make sure the colors change.
7.      If you could do this art activity again, what would you do differently?

If I could do this activity again I would pick a different background. I would pick better pictures that would show a better understanding of my personality. I would use better filters and blend my pictures in to make it incredible. I would definitely put more time and effort to make it way nicer to show you that I learned how to use the materials correctly.
